Patna junction (PNBE) is served by direct trains from all parts of the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kanpur, Guwahati, Puri, and Vasco-de-Gamma among many others. After reaching Patna Junction, you can take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to reach IIT Patna. The campus is approximately 30-40 minutes away from the railway station.

Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna (PAT) is the nearest airport to IIT Patna, located about 10 kilometers away. The airport has direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore with good connectivity to other cities of India. After landing at the airport, you can hire a taxi or use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Ola to reach the campus. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
